Mud Day

Just over a week ago, the Dunsborough campus of Cornerstone Christian College hosted our first ever ‘Mud Day’.  The morning was reserved for the Dunsborough Bush Playgroup that is a program that operates under the leadership of our Head of Primary, Judy Nolan.  Once the little ones were through with playing, the Year 1 and Year 2 students from our Busselton campus made their way down and joined with their Dunsborough peers for some fantastic fun in the afternoon.
The sedate activities included clay moulding of pinch pots, creating small nature gardens, eating edible mud (chocolate mousse) and sensory mud, but the messier options of face-painting and the mud pit brought the greatest squeals of delight.
Children were required to report on the event when they returned, and comments like ‘It was just so, so, so fun’, and ‘my favourite activity was the mud pit because it was squishy between my toes’.
It was an absolute highlight event of the term for so many students and staff.  This will become an annual event on the College Calendar.
