Good and Perfect Gifts

Last week I attended the Christian Schools Australia National Leaders Summit, held this year in Perth. Not only were there Principals and leaders from around the country, there were also visitors from New Zealand, the United States, India and China. It was exciting to hear of the impact that Christian schools are having in different places around the world, but especially humbling to listen to stories of the lengths that some families go to so they can be part of a school that we often take for granted. We heard of a school that started rescuing orphans from natural disasters because no one else would take them. And another school that keeps moving to avoid being discovered by the authorities.

We have a lot to celebrate and be thankful for at Cornerstone and it is encouraging to know that we are part of a wider network of like-minded schools that can support each other in the important work of educating our students. Some of those celebrations can be found in this newsletter, but let’s not forget to be thankful for God’s many blessings that allow this to be possible.

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. James 1:17
