Parent involvement in our College community is a vital part of how our College functions and I would like to celebrate two recent events that highlight this contribution. Last week a family bush dance was held at the church auditorium and the annual talent night at the Dunsborough campus ended the week. The bush dance saw a team of parents and staff put together an enjoyable evening for our families and the Cornerstone Soccer Club provided a sausage sizzle. The Dunsborough talent night followed a shared dinner and included students singing and playing instruments and provided an opportunity for our parents to encourage our students’ enthusiasm for the arts. The support of parents for both of these nights was greatly appreciated.
These two events are only an example of parents blessing our College. There are even more shown inside this issue of the newsletter. The partnership between the College and our families is a strength of Cornerstone that we continue to foster. The Parent Connect meetings that are held each term at both campuses are great ways for parents to stay in touch with developments in the College. Working together in this way adds to the huge variety of learning that occurs every day at Cornerstone.
